It Ain’t Over Until It’s Over

Well, it’s here…

No, I’m not talking about a trade war over tariffs, the North Korean peace summit, or even soccer’s World Cup!

I’m talking about the summer doldrums when Wall Street seems to go on a three-month hiatus while the big dogs vacation out in the Hamptons or in the Caribbean.

Summer is typically the weirdest time for the investing world – and while the rest of the world seems to speed up during June, July, and August – Wall Street often slows down, making it harder for the regular Joe investor to make money.

But this summer – it’s going to be different…

Whether or not the market continues humming or slows down to a snail’s pace – people who know where to look could be in for a BIG summer.

And if you don’t know where to look – I’m about to show you…

One of the biggest problems with the summer is the fact that MANY industries slow down – not just on Wall Street.

People who have families tend to take time off during the summer because the kids are off from school and they have to find something to keep those children occupied.

Trips to the Grand Canyon, camping, or Disney – take their toll on workloads across many different industries and often leaves many places shorthanded.

Which is why, when it comes to investing during the summer, it’s important to find industries that don’t hit the doldrums with the rest of the world – and, in fact – start to pick up!

One of those places, I’ve already mentioned.

Walt Disney Co. (DIS) has been a perennial performer in the markets for decades on end…

The stock continues to outperform many analysts’ near-term and long-term predictions as their movies never seem to STOP making money while their channel is a darling with advertisers.

And seeing how the summer is when most of these movies seem to come out – every new blockbuster under their belt seems to do nothing but bolster the stock and make shareholders boatloads of money.

Not only that…

The summertime is when Disney parks really begin to heat up with visitors! All those families going on vacation? A good amount of them find their way either to California or Orlando to spend a couple grand to hang with the Mouse.

And I’m not even going to get into how much money they’re going to make with distribution and acquisitions.

Disney is a solid play for any portfolio – that’s for sure. As shareholders are also paid a 1.64% dividend – that’s not too shabby!

And while the stock is floating just around $100 at the moment, some analysts have future price predictions as high as $135 with an average target at around $119 …

And with the lukewarm reception to their latest Star Wars movie outing, Solo – right now may be the best time to buy.

In that same vein, another stock that could make you money this summer is SeaWorld (SEAS).

Now, I understand that SeaWorld has gotten a lot of flack over the past few years after the release of the Orca documentary, Blackfish, but that doesn’t mean the company hasn’t done the work needed in order to clean up their image.

And investors are starting to find their way back to SeaWorld Entertainment– meaning that this stock could be on it’s way back up!

Which bring us to our last summer stock winner…

Home Depot (HD).

One of the other big summertime activities often seems to be home renovation.

Do-It-Yourselfers around the country flock to THE name in home improvement to pick up what they need to both start and finish the job they have planned.

Whether it’s inside or outside – Home Depot has what you need to do the job right.

And its investors are pretty happy about it, as they’re getting paid a 2.26% dividend.

And with shares hovering just around $187 – there’s a lot of running room to the $219 target price Merrill Lynch has for the company.

So, you see? There will be some plays during the summer, whether or not it is another snooze-fest…

You just have to know where to look!

The fun part of my job here at GorillaTrades – is helping my subscribers get the most out of their investing dollars…

The GorillaTrades system is simple – we do the work – you decide whether to buy or not.

It doesn’t get much easier than that. I’d love for you to join us – but understand that being a part of something isn’t for everybody.

So, either way, do yourself a favor – and take a good look at one, or all of these stocks for a summer play…

It could be the most lucrative summer you’ve ever had!

We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” – Walt Disney
